Colin Chambers is a Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals sector specialist. He has 22 years experience working in the Chemical Industry and 3 years experience working in the Water Industry.

Prior to his appointment with WSP, Colin spent 5 years as Head of Operations for the Chemical Industries Association (CIA). Colin was responsible for the development of the Responsible Care programme, Responsible Care Management System and Responsible Care links with CEFIC & International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA); as well as managing the CIA’s Operations group covering HSE policy & lobbying and Responsible Care. As part of his role at CIA, Colin managed the CIA’s Product Stewardship Task Force whose role was to develop Product Stewardship implementation tools.

Colin has a degree in chemical engineering and a post graduate Masters in health, safety and environmental management. He is a Chartered & European Engineer, Chartered Environmentalist, corporate member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers, and associate member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment IEMA). He is also on the Editorial Advisory Panel of the Global Responsible Care Magazine ‘Careline’.
